Of course not; my former commentary was just a malignous joke...:-)

Talking seriously:  I meant that being a composer doesn't necessarily
makes you understand better the music.  Actually, I believe that being a
composer often gives you a lot of proffesional prejudices about some of
your colleagues and their works.  Being a good critic requires certain
special sensibility:  Tovey had this sensibility, but Hanslick had it too.
