About a year ago, I received a call from a market-research firm interested
in my movie-going habits. In the midst of this 20-minute interrogation
about what I had seen over the last several months, and what I was planning
to see, the man asked me to identify a number of pop-music artists. In
between the flavors of the month, he asks if I know Dvorak.

"Dvorak? You mean the composer?" I replied.

"Yes, that's right," he said.

"Sure," I answered. And I proceeded to name a few works, etc. The man told
me that I was the first person he'd talked to who had known who Dvorak was.
He couldn't tell me why Dvorak was on his list -- not a trade secret; he
simply didn't know. As it was a market-research survey, it occured to me
that there may be a Dvorak revival in the offing, or maybe a film in the
works. But I have seen no evidence of it. I guess that's because I was the
only one who answered the question right.
