An Opus 1 that didn't make Dave's list is Dvorak's String Sextet, an
unremarkable work notable only for a blatant steal from Mozart's g minor
Piano Quartet.

 [According to the New Grove, Dvorak's Op. 1 was a String Quintet in A
 minor begun in 1861 when the composer was 19, but not published until
 1946.  Apparently Dvorak wasn't impressed with it either.  Has it ever
 been recorded? I'd guess yes since Peter has heard it.  -Dave]
