Just an anecdote.  My ex-co-Leader (therefore reasonably savvy about
breastfeeding) had to supplement her exclusively breastfeeding 5/6mo
baby when she got pregnant.  She started noticing a lack of energy in
her child, as well as a decrease in wet diapers.  She was heartbroken
that she had to use formula.  The good news is that once the new baby
was born the older baby went back to the breast easily.

She was a good person to have in our group.  As she would make-up a
bottle she would comment on how much easier breastfeeding was ;->
