Has anyone visited the Taylor, Inc. website? Taylor Inc. is based in
Tonawanda, NY, outside Buffalo, NY. They are a hydraulic company, and
provided the seismic retrofit of a historic structure, the "Woodland Hotel"
in California, a 1928, National Register site. They have developed software
that can create digitally, the stresses and strains of just about any shock,
and provide the analog absorber for the shock wave. From depth charges,
torpedoes, etc., to "potholes" and seismic events. The search is worth the
look. The hotel was retrofitted with chevron like steel beams and
shocks.
