I had a call from my brother-in-law who had just discovered Andreas Scholl
on the radio and wanted to know if I knew any more about him. All I knew
was the name and some favourable reviews but offered to find more. Then
I checked the morning e-mails which included Tore Steenslid's post on the
Pergolesi. I e-mailed David the URL Tore had posted, he checked it, found
that his favourite CD store had a copy, bought it on the way home and
e-mailed me to sing its praises. All this took a matter of a few hours.
Another triumph for MCML!

My introduction to the Pergolesi was the opening scene of that superb film,
Jesus of Montreal, which opens with a duet from it. I was impressed not
only by the music but by the soprano. Does anyone know who she is?
