Hello,
Question: I'm looking for information concerning ca.1770-1850 vessel
sizes and rim/foot ring measurements. I believe the use of rim/foot ring
diameters may be of use for arriving at Min. Vessel counts for a
historic site collection in my care.
The problem is finding standardized data on average vessel sizes for
European tableware forms, ie teacups, saucers, plates, soup bowls,
tureens etc. I'd like to use the Min vessel arc diameters to understand
the types of vessels in my collection.
One potential problems may be the overlap of diameters between forms,
which worries me.
Is there a reference work that includes a large sample set of historic
tableware measurements??
Any help is greatly appreciated.
