Bob, the infamous "bronzing" problem - I assume this is what you a
referring to - is nothing to do with the recording and everything to do
with the pressing.  In particular the engineering of the recording has zip
all to do with this problem, which was caused at PDO's Blackburn (UK) plant
between appx 1988-92.  A number of labels are affected, including DG,
Hyperion, Chandos, APR, etc.  etc.
