Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

I've presented at the ASTC Conference twice. Baltimore 1989 (in person) and
Honolulu 2010 (via Skype).

Skype was tricky, but Baltimore was culture-shock. A replica tall-ship was
in the harbour, under a huge banner saying 'Pre-Pay Funeral Plan'. Beer
glass in hand, I boldly tried to mingle in the darkness with delegates from
the funeral-directors' conference as they boarded the ship for a trip round
the harbour. But my accent betrayed me. I was thumped on the back and a
loud, prosperous-looking undertaker shook his head, booming, 'Why do you
Brits BURN your dead?'. I retreated and watched from the quayside as the
ship sailed away, banner ablaze with lights, and the singing of its
passengers drifting faintly across the water. 'God Bless America'...

Give people facts and you feed their minds for an hour.
Awaken curiosity and they feed their own minds for a lifetime.
