Yes, I have received e-mails from someone on the ISEN-ASTC-L. I
notified this person, of the listserv. There were two e-mails that were
stopped by our virus protector.

Thank you Charles for addressing this issue.

Subject: Internet Spoofing on ISEN-ASTC-L? and other identity theft
issues

Another member of ISEN-ASTC-L has received an e-mail message with a
virus
infected attachment from my AOL account, which I use to receive messages
from the
ListServ.

Given that neither of my computers has the other member in the address
book
and that both computers check-out virus-free (at least for known
viruses), and
given that the only electronic connection that we have is ISEN-ASTC-L, I
am
wondering...

- Have other members received such virus carrying messages from
ChasStout@aol?

- Have other members received such messages from anyone else on from
ISEN-ASTC-L?

- Could the list have been attacked?

- Since this issue (and identity theft more broadly) is apparently a big
and
growing part of communication technology, doesn't this present a useful
topic
for an interactive exhibit or website activity?
