ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

Sue,

You mentioned that it is an international study that your colleague is
doing, so s/he is probably aware that there is a culture of operating
historical machinery in the UK, from the National Museum in London
("Science Museum") to the York Railway Museum and many regional industrial
museums. Try Google.co.uk, "pages from the UK" and put in Industrial
Museums - or Snibston or Black Country Museum.

I have heard Londoners say that the London Underground is a museum, but I
think that is sour grapes.

Good luck,

Peter Anderson
