We started checking IDs on November 1.  It does not seem to have created any
problems.  We have a large number of home school groups and church groups in
our area that were purchasing a membership from a Midwest science center and
using it for access to all local facilities.  Consequently, we made the
decision to start checking IDs on November 1.

We do not currently check members' IDs when they visit the museum (we  
just scan their membership cards), but we are considering changing our  
procedures. I am interested in hearing from anyone who has made such a
