ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

Pittsburgh's original Buhl Planetarium and Institute
of Popular Science had two classic mechanical,
"push-button" exhibits, which explained the seasons,
as well as one which showed day and night. Also, we
had some small globes which could be used to explain
these concepts.

These exhibits, which were created in the 1940s and
1950s, were displayed until the original Buhl
Planetarium closed as a public museum in August of
1991. I am not sure whether these exhibits still
exist.

However, these concepts are fairly straight-forward. I
would suggest that you consider fabricating such
exhibits yourself. You could probably produce such
exhibits for a fraction of what a vendor might charge.
