2009 CAM CONFERENCE CALL FOR PROPOSALS REMINDER 

There is only one month left to submit a proposal for the 2009 California
Association of Museums (CAM) Conference in San Francisco! 

CAM is hosting its next conference in San Francisco, California, February
25-27, 2009. CAM invites proposals from the field that present strategies
and ideas for strengthening the future of museums, their programs,
collections, and communities. The goal is to produce interesting, useful,
thoughtful, and interactive sessions that address "best practices," present
model programs or techniques, and/or discuss trends that affect the future
of the California museum community. 


INSTRUCTIONS

The proposal form must be completed online by Friday, June 13, 2008.

2009 CAM CONFERENCE DETAILS

Like past conferences, this conference will bring together a diverse group
of museum professionals from across California for a stimulating and
enjoyable exchange of ideas, perspectives, and resources. San Francisco, a
vibrant city of arts and culture, will be the backdrop for a notable
conference with evening events at several cultural institutions. The
conference will take place at the newly renovated Hotel Kabuki, located in
the heart of Japantown (see http://www.jdvhotels.com/kabuki/ for additional
hotel information). CAM has reserved a block of rooms at a discounted rate
of $135 a night plus tax.
