Here is a note just received from Neville Petrie, CEO of Science Alive in
Christchurch, New Zealand.

Morning Mac

Thank you for your concern relating to the  7.1 earthquake here in
Christchurch over the weekend. The inner city is severely damaged but no
casualties fortunately. Personally all staff are safe but 2 of their homes
are severely damaged. Personally nothing has happened at home with only a
couple of broken glasses. Science Alive has been closed. There are large
cracks running up our clock tower and the building is closed and I cannot
see it opening again in the short term. We have recently renewed out
insurance so it is very possible that we might have a new building. Time
will tell. I am just evacuating the building and will be working from home
or an emergency building.
