Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

Anita,

I was not involved but was a spectator at an ARISS (Amateur Radio on the
International Space Station) ham radio contact at the Ann Arbor Hands On
Museum on December 27, 2008. These events last 11 minutes, and
typically take 3 years to set up. They require experienced radio
operators with a sophisticated skill set and specific equipment that
most hams will not have (such as, automated satellite-tracking
antennas.) The people who did it here came up from Ohio and were just
great.

Regards,

Ralph
