ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

Does The Tech have a narrower focus than the rest of us science
centers? There are many old-standby exhibits that can get a breath of
new life when adapted to a unique space.

The Leid Discovery Center in Las Vegas has a giant viscosity exhibit in
their tower, as well as a neat-o collection of light tubes that can be
activated with a synthesizer keyboard.

The main building at the Fermi Particle Accelerator in Illinois has an
ultra-long Foucault's Pendulum in their multi-story atrium.

Upon reading your email, my immediate thought was of Galileo's gravity
experiments off the Tower of Pisa. The Exploratorium has an exhibit
that demonstrates gravity, and air resistance, and the lack of air
resistance in a vacuum. Perhaps it could be modified for a space as
tall as yours.

Is it a good space for echoes or sound delay?
Google "silophone" for information on one of the coolest sound art
installations of which I've ever heard. It uses technology in a novel
way, too, which might suit the Tech.

Good luck, and best of fortunes,
