We have a dual system for staff in our building. We all have swipe cards,
which monitors two things: the time we come into and leave the building (and
therefore work) and it also logs who is in the building in case of a fire.
It has the added benefit of being linked to our intranet system so time
adjustments can be made if you are working away from the building and can't
swipe in or out. It also means it's a easy system to check who is in or out
of the building at any one time.
