Enhance your leadership skills, define your management style, and build
confidence, credentials and the tools to advance your career in the
cultural sector. Study part-time via distance education and complete
program requirements within two years! 

 

The Professional Specialization Certificate in Cultural Sector
Leadership is a 6.0 unit program of studies requiring completion of four
courses offered in a distance education format through the School of
Public Administration and the Cultural Resource Management Program at
the University of Victoria. 

 

Begin your PSC studies with a three-day seminar, "Challenges in Cultural
Sector Leadership," from November 28 to 30, 2005, hosted in Victoria,
British Columbia. Here, you will meet fellow PSC candidates,
instructors, and mentors, develop project plans and begin a journey of
discovery. 

 

Four online courses follow, starting in January 2006, to offer you the
flexibility to learn in your own surroundings while being networked to
peers within the museum and cultural sector. Fellow PSC participants,
mentors from your own work-place, and other working professionals from
the sector provide additional support and guidance throughout the
program.

Applicants to the Professional Specialization Certificate in Cultural
Sector Leadership must hold a bachelor's degree or its equivalent, be
admissible to the University of Victoria, and have a minimum of two
years of related professional experience in the museum, cultural, or
heritage sectors.

 

The Professional Specialization Certificate in Cultural Sector
Leadership is an accredited program offered through the Division of
Continuing Studies in cooperation with the School of Public
Administration and the Department of History in Art.
