Typing Islam and evolution into the Google search engine quickly reveals 
websites reconciling Islam with evolution, others only objecting to human 
evolution, and others, more stridently, denouncing evolution totally.

I found the following book title particularly disturbing:

How comfortable do we feel about Darwinism being perceived as a 'religion' 
of atheism, "founded upon the denial of God (Allah)"? Is this a helpful 
perception? Is it in any sense true? Is this what science communicators 
wanted to communicate?

The summaries of Islamic militant-creationist books on this website look 
closely similar to any Christian list on the same theme, and are equally 
depressing.

Please don't react with anger. In the Global Village, neither aggression 
nor isolationism can resolve anything. Only communication of Darwin's 
"grandeur in this view of life", to people wherever they are at, hearts as 
well as minds, and the need is enormous.
