It should be possible to make small custom cradles that the skulls sit in. If these cradles have handles ( think of a skull on a stick, like a popsicle) visitors can hold the handles yet still touch the skulls. If you want to see the bottom of the skull, it can be slid out of the cradle or the cradle can be made of clear acrylic. Also, once the skulls are placed in cradles, they can be easily stored on shelving inside the cart - if a "stick-type" handle is used, these can be fitted into slots in the shelving. Otherwise closed-cell foam padding with cut-outs fashioned for each skull could be located on the shelving to receive the specimens at days end.

Hi all,
We have a teen career ladder program wherein youth interpret our dioramas via
interactive carts laden with specimens (hides, horns, etc...). We just
purchased several skull replicas from Bone Clones and are looking for the best
way to handle displaying them that allows for visitors to interact with the
objects while ensuring they last a little while. I am particularly interested
in finding a solution for several delicate bird skulls though we also have
larger jaguar and bear skulls as well. We have the ability to produce cases and
mounts though storage is also an issue (i.e. It would be great if, at the end of
each day, everything could be quickly-ish and securely packed into bins).
