ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

Charlie and Martin wrote about the current issue of Science, which is
devoted to climate change. This short piece about climate change
communication could be of particular interest to those on the list and it's
available online:
http://sciencecareers.sciencemag.org/career_magazine/previous_issues/articles/2013_08_02/caredit.a1300158

Referring to a recent conference, the article says speakers "stressed the
importance of telling personal stories, emphasizing local impacts of
climate change over global ones, and understanding that scientists command
respect from the public on technical matters despite what some might think."

For help planning and crafting climate change communication, I highly
recommend Climate Access. There's a webinar next week about "starting
climate conversations in difficult places." http://www.climateaccess.org/
