You have not identified what kind of conference you are doing, but if everyone doesn't have to be in the same room, Skype may work. It's free and it can do voice and video if each person has a webcam - it would not matter where anyone is located.

Subject: Video-conference equipment needed in Illinois

Dear all,

This is a rather random request, but I'm not sure how to start my search and
thought it would be worth asking!

I'm writing from Bristol, England. We are running a conference at the end of
October and one of our guest speakers is from Illinois. His office has asked
us to find suitable video-conferencing equipment in the area - this is what
he has told us:

> I live in Galesburg, Illinois. There are two reasonably large
> metropolitan areas within an hour of me where you might be able to
> find acceptable equipment. One is in Peoria, Illinois, to my east.
> The other is in what is known as the Quad-Cities (Davenport &
> Bettendorf, Iowa and Rock Island and Moline, Illinois)

Does anyone happen to know any institutions in the area that might be a
possible starting point? (or is anyone on this list in the area??)

Thanks very much in advance,
