We are currently looking at all these issues. Our facility is 12 years
old and we are going to be approaching all of the original sponsors for
exhibits to renew their pledge of support. We are building it as a 5
year sponsorship and including the cost of yearly maintenance in the
price. Those that are the current sponsor have the "first right of
refusal" not only now but in 5 years to renew the sponsorship.

It would be interesting to know if anyone has built in periodic renewal
to the budget for a science center or for exhibitions?

I know in The Tech's original documents it was stated that the
"permanent" exhibits would last for 4 years...the reality is they've
*all* lasted far longer than that, but the intention was there in the
beginning.
