Subject: ASTC - Free Breakfast & Innovative Science Programming

The U.S. EPA has created a science program kit which helps children
grades K-8 to understand the effects of UV rays on their skin and
environment. The SunWise program consists of a free activity kit which
comes with detailed instructions on how to guide children through
discussions of the atmosphere, the ozone layer, and ultra violet light.
It emphasizes the importance of sun safe behavior while also teaching
atmospheric science and stressing the need for environmental protection.

If you or a member of your organization will be attending the October 15
- 18, 2005 Association of Science-Technology Centers (ASTC) meeting,
please come out to hear about the SunWise program Sunday October 16th at
the 7:00 am SunWise Breakfast.

Contact Amani Rushing of AAAS at [log in to unmask] or Jan Mattingly of
McWane Center at [log in to unmask] for more details.
