Did anyone see the FY 2013 budget? ISE is being cut about 25%, from $61 million to $48 million, and renamed to Advancing Informal STEM Learning. Yikes!

From the NSF budget document: “AISL (formerly ISE) (-$13.58 million to a total of $47.82 million) will support fewer awards, focusing on the research and model-building contributions of the program to better understand effective means and innovative models for engaging today’s young people and adults in science outside of school settings.”
