Hi David,
This is my 3rd year doing homeschool programs. We found through
talking with the parents that they wanted state standards based
courses to insure their student was getting the standards needed. We
currently offer a Biology class for high school age that meets weekly,
we do labs and they take home assignments for the rest of the week.
That class is our most popular because the local Charter/homeschool,
doesn't provide it otherwise and the parents really wanted the lab
activities.
I am also trying a new general science class for 4th-6th grades that
is a 90 minute once a month, hands on science class. They pay for the
semester and the funds are deducted from their charter school account.
If they drop out or don't show up, we have already been paid.
I am a certificated teacher as well, so that allows me to offer the
Biology class.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
