Stephanie,

The Science Museum of Minnesota's ethnobotany
<http://www.smm.org/anthropology/ethnobotany> project sows and maintains
gardens each summer in the museum's Big Back Yard
<http://www.smm.org/bigbackyard> . The project began in 2004 with a
Turtle Effigy

medicinal herb garden and expanded in later years to include a Three
Sisters garden of Native American varieties of corn, beans and squash and
other ethnobotany gardening projects. Follow the Tending Traditions
<http://tendingtraditions.tumblr.com/> blog to learn about this season's
activities. The Big Back Yard also contains a wide variety of fruit trees
and shrubs. See the plant guide
<http://www.smm.org/bigbackyard/plantguide> for a complete list of edible
fruits in the park. The head of the museum's ethnobotany project is Scott
Shoemaker (651-221-4717, [log in to unmask]
