Hi Patsy,

At the Museum of Science, we installed five different residential-scale
turbines on our roof in 2008. We are gathering data on the turbines and
constructing power curves that we provide to the state and the
manufacturers and to interested planners. The live and cumulative data
from the turbines, along with information about wind power and the
tradeoffs of various kinds of energy technologies, are included in our
permanent Catching the Wind exhibit. Here are some links that describe
the turbines and the exhibit:

These turbines are residential-scale and do not meet the power needs of
the Museum - they produce between 1 kW and 6 kW at peak times. I know
that Great Lakes Science Center has a turbines that is much larger - it's
rated for over 200 kW which is utility-scale. I'd be interested to hear
about others.

Hope that helps.
