ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.
*****************************************************************************

Several science festivals have developed very productive relationships with their local major league baseball teams within the past couple years. Some (San Diego and Bay Area) hold huge festival events in the ballparks, and others (Philadelphia, Arizona, Cambridge) have or plan to have large science outreach events in the festival schedules associated with actual games (with events on the concourse, videos on the jumbotron, ESPN coverage, etc.).

Is anyone on this list aware of other relationships involving STEM outreach and major league baseball teams or coverage? I'm less interested in baseball exhibits or demos at this point, and more interested in examples that involve a substantial partnership with a local team, MLB, or a media outlet. If I get enough responses I'll pull them together to share...and it may be that a larger project will be emerging along these lines...

I should also probably mention that positive examples involving the Yankees may get a bit less attention from me...

Best-
