I have to admit Bjork scares me a bit (although it's fun to say her name in Swedish Chef fashion). But congrats on this pretty spectacular coup!

is doing the US premiere of biophilia at NY Hall of Science! Only six shows in Feb. Biophilia is an amazing Bjork project, an album released as an ipad app with interactives, in depth explorations of the music, science-based gaming. She is doing a huge production with a choir, large ensemble, purpose built instruments. Our staff is coming up with education programming to do for local families around the program. Details here http://www.nysci.org/visit/events/event/biophilia

Big congrats to the NYSCI team who made this happen. When it first came up it really didn't seem possible, but they helped Bjork fall in love with the place and managed all the internal cross currents. The fact that she spends a big chunk of her time in nyc also helps.

After They Might be Giants, World Maker Faire, and now this, it begs the question: exactly how hip can a science center get? ;^)

Any of you in the NY area, try to come by. Tickets are very limited.

Eric Siegel
