ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

Hello Charity:

The Exhibitionist, the journal published by NAME, has a recent issue called Lean and Green with guidance for creating sustainable exhibitions, along with sustainable institutions. You can download one of the articles--a green exhibition guide by OMSI-- for free here: http://name-aam.org/resources/exhibitionist. We put up complete issues a year after their publication for free download, so in a few months it will be available. If you want more information about that issue, contact me off list.

Charles Trauthammer of Ithaca Science Center has been very active in this area, spending a year traveling in Europe researching this issue. You can download a copy of a monograph he wrote on the topic from http://sciencenter.org/monograph/

Hope you can share your findings with the rest of us.

We are searching for other museums of a similar size (1 million visitors per year, 480,000 sq.ft., etc.) who are also actively engaging in sustainability efforts, who may be able to offer advice or resources that will help us along our way.
