ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

Whatever it is we are doing it is working for us. We are in excess of 6 billion (nothing compared to microbes, but. . .) and we out competed other homo species to be the only one left of about 15 species of genus homo.

A general comment. Survival of the fittest is not really what evolution is about. It really is the survival of the just fit enough. For example our bodies are not perfection. We walk upright with aching feet, knees, hips and backs and give birth with difficulty and pain. All to be able to walk upright. Which was a considerable advantage. We were not necessarily the best in the jungle or the savannah but the sum total was just enough for us to survive when others did not.
