Hello All,

With regards to open and available wifi internet access here at Explora,
we don't offer the service. We work to create an environment for
families to interact and learn together. Allowing the adults sit and
surf the net while our staff watch the youngsters goes against our core
values. However, we do make exceptions to parents who have brought their
children to educational programming we offer. We offer "After School
Clubs" and science curriculum to home schoolers in the afternoon. During
these times we offer wifi internet access to the parents while they wait
for the classes to end. We have a handout for these visitors that
provides a step by step procedure to access the wifi service and the
access code (SSID), necessary to connect. We change the SSID every six
months. We have configured our wireless system so that the connection is
not advertised. Therefore, when visitors do open their mobile devices
they don't see an "available" network connection and we don't get a lot
of questions at the box office about service availability. It has worked
very well.

We have it, but we do not announce that we have it. Tech-savvy visitors
find it themselves. A couple of homeshool moms use it while their kids
are
in classes. I've seen a few other folks using it as well. If people
wanted
to pay admission just to come sit in our cafe space and use the Wi-Fi, I
don't think we'd find that problematic at all. There are several free
Wi-Fi
options within a mile of us, so we don't see much of this.
