Hey Everybody,

Wow, Thanks for all your great ideas. I never expected so many. In
response to Eric's question. I donšt think it is cheating when you use the
list-serve for what it was intended to do and get help from your colleagues.
However, I did laugh out loud at your accusation and did feel a tad guilty,
and humbled when I saw the flood of ideas in my inbox this morning.

We do have a Big Idea along with a fairly tight conceptual framework. But I
thought I would put a question out to my favorite mob and see what kind of
creative gems y'all came up with.

Here is the full story. We are developing a history of pharmacy museum for
the University of Kansas. Here is the Big Idea.

KU pharmacy museum, the history of pharmacy lives here, the future of
pharmacy begins here. The museum experiences will showcase the
contributions made by the KU School of Pharmacy to the development of
pharmacy practice, education and research. This museum will inspire
prospective students, current students and alumni by showcasing the power of
exceptional pharmacy practice and pharmaceutical research to help people
live healthier lives.

KU has several pharmaceutical rock stars that we want to feature. Takeru
Higuchi who invented the time release capsule was from KU and they have a
scientist by the name of Barbara Timmerman who is leading the way in
developing new techniques of bio-prospecting to find active chemicals in
plants. So the exhibition will have a bit of a hall of fame component.
They are also very keen on getting an antique soda fountain to highlight the
community role that the pharmacy played in small towns in Kansas and all
over the Midwest. The four main topic areas are History, Education,
Research and Practice.

One idea I had yesterday would be to include a large mural that uses pills
as pixels this should allow us to talk about the vast array of medications
now on the market. It is staggering to me that a pharmacist would have to
keep all of those pills straight. If yšall have any ideas for the subject
matter of such a mural I would love to hear them.

Thanks again,

Mike
