Hello People of the List,

We are a small group of amateurs (Marine Scientists mostly), trying to build an Aquarium and Science Discovery Centre in Sabah, Malaysian Borneo. And we have a small problem that you guys could perhaps help us with, please.

We want to make some display boards that show creatures like marine birds or marine mammmals, which we will not be housing in the aquarium. We would like visitors to be able to press a button on the display and have the sound that animal makes issue from a speaker in the display board.

We have asked our electronics guys and they had no idea what parts make the noise. They went to the electronics shop and those guys had no idea either.

I am sure we can get this stuff off the internet, but not even knowing what to look for, well its a jungle out there.

So is there anyone out there who can tell me
a) what parts we need to make a display board sound like a dolphin
b) how we can get about buying them

Thanks very much,

Laura Davies
