Funny you should say that. For the past five years I have not used a
single paper towel for drying my hands after washing and I always
wash my hands. I use my pants. The amount of water absorbed by my
pants is unoticeable to me and your hands are dry enough on the door
handle that you are not leaving a deposit or, for that matter,
picking up more easily someone else's prior leavings. I will admit
to electric dryer usage in winter but that's mostly for the creature
comfort of warmth.
