ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

For staff scheduling for Education programs we started using a web based
service this spring that has been working well so far. I imagine you
could also use this for reservations of programs, although we have an
external institution-wide system (currently VISTA) that takes care of
that.
Check out: www.whentowork.com
You can set a lot of parameters for programs, enter all your staff,
determine who is trained for which programs and which shifts and it
helps you figure everything out. We're still working out the kinks, but
so far so good.
