Scheduling Software

My name is Robert McGuire.  I have recently taken over scheduling and
would like to tap the ASTC collective.  Can anyone recommend scheduling
software to make the process more efficient?  We are currently using
several excel sheets to manage staff, school programs, IMAX, and to
develop daily and school schedules.  It is all being entered manually!
We spend a significant amount of time developing the schedules and
checking for errors, invariably there are a few.  I know there is a
better way!   I have previewed a number of commercially available
products but nothing seems to address all our needs.   I would also be
interested in hearing and discussing how other Science Centers develop
and manage their staff and schedules.  Any suggestions would be greatly
appreciated.
