What is the real reason why oil and water don't mix? The answer, in part,
lies in hydrophobic interactions of molecules. The next web seminar in the
NSDL series on October 23rd, 6:30pm-8:00pm ET will focus on solubility,
polarity, and other chemistry related topics through fun classroom
activities and background content to support these activities.

Dr. John Moore, W. T. Lippincott Professor of Chemistry at the University of
Wisconsin at Madison and editor of the Journal of Chemical Education, and
Dr. Lynn Diener, Outreach Specialist at the University of Wisconsin will
once again feature resources from JCE that will make chemistry come alive
for your students. Register today!

Coming November 11th: Join AMNH researcher, Dr. Rob DeSalle as he helps us
stay current with genetic research and the new science of genomics in this
compelling seminar designed for educators of grades 7-12: “Studying Genomes:
From the Lab to the Classroom”. Register today!
