Okay my buddy Jeff...since you asked,

We could be talking 'context' here. One particular exhibit in one
context can have a completely different meaning than the exact same
exhibit in a different context. They are, essentially, two different
exhibits because of context.

So, I guess I'm saying that if your other trolley interactive is
engaging you can re-use the construction by subtly tweaking features to
highlight this new context.

In this new context, what is the 'salient' notion you're trying to get
across? I presume it's not 'electricity' or electro motor force in this
case. Is it friction, energy consumption, conversion, wheeled
transportation, communication, time, suburban lifestyle, or some other
concept. Once you uncover your 'notion' the biggest challenge is coming
up with something interesting and engaging for visitors to 'do' around
this 'kernel.'

I say 'do' because, regardless of 'your' kernel, visitors take away with
them their own notions, notions which are internally constructed and
meaningful to them alone. Since you have so little control over this,
the best you can hope to do is to give them engaging experiences.

Back to your trolley... We can give you a more pointed help if you could
give us a little more context for this new exhibit and why it is
different than the other trolley exhibit you have around.

Sincerely, though unhelpfully

Joe R

Nothing you could possibly do would have only one connection to the
world, right?
