ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

When I worked at the St. Louis Science Center, Mylar balloons were
not allowed because they would get loose in our central atrium, which
was also the venue for large-scale regular laser shows. The balloons
would get loose, and cause a dangerous reflective situation.
