ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

SciencePort opened in temporary quarters in White Plains, New York in fall of
1994 and closed about one year later. Attendance was below expectations at
the temporary location, and sufficient funds had not yet been raised to renovate
the building at its permanent location. In summer of 1995, hoping to make a
big splash, it brought in one of the robotic dinosaur exhibits (expensive), but
again attendance was below expectations, and that did it in.
