I'm involved in an effort locally to start a place-based charter school (a
move made necessary by the closing of our local neighborhood school deemed
"exceptional" by the state, but not of high value to our district). I'm also
the project evaluator on a place-based professional development project in
the Four Corners. For more information on place-based learning and its
