Another unrelated reference:  the chem demo books developed by Bassam 
Shakhashiri of the University of Wisconsin are classics and have widely used
chem demos, many of which can be adapted for use in museums.

I'll add that the two Demo a Day books of chemistry demonstrations by
Borislaw Bilash are also cool. He has ones on Physics + Biology, too. I so
very much wish I was getting paid to say that!
