Hi Sara,

I honestly think adding another layer of folderol (and cost!) to the  
process by hiring a professional estimator (on top of any given  
fabricator's own estimates) is a waste of your valuable time (which,  
after all, is worth something as well.)

An estimate is always an educated guess, and I'd say, more often than  
not,  the museum ends up getting the better side of the balance sheet  
at the end of a project, than the fabricators do!
