To all SMM Staff:

I'll be the guy in Louisville wearing the "Martin Fisher" nametag.

Some of the most spectacular multi-user exhibits I've seen were The
Experiment Gallery Benches from the Science Museum of Minnesota. When I
worked at another museum, we purchased the Circuits, Optics, Color and Sound
Benches. On MANY occasions, I watched multiple families in there, helping
each other, and staying for long periods of time. I once timed a family for
45 minutes (seriously!) at a Bench. I don't have images of these particular
exhibits, per your request. At one time, SMM even published a booklet with
drawings and descriptions. Contact their exhibits staff.

Martin (not Weiss)

P.S. I'm not on the SMM staff, nor am I a paid actor. But I do now expect a
beer from one of them at the ASTC Conference.

Hello,

I'm looking for examples of multi-user exhibits of all kinds, from
computer activities to physical interactives.
If you're willing to share a brief description, any images, or
additional info, I would greatly appreciate it.
I'm particularly interested in exhibits where visitors have to
collaborate with each other. Do visitors work with strangers? Or only
with people they know?

Please respond off-list to [log in to unmask]

Thanks!
