ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

It's legal to show the film (does not infringe on copyright) if it is a
free educational event held at an educational institution. A science
center would qualify.

I have to say as an off-and-on member of NSTA, and a former science
teacher, I'm really disappointed in their decision, and plan to write them
a letter. And pass along the Op-Ed piece to other science teachers.
