I know this exhibit, I believe it is made at the Exploratorium in San

Jeff,
There used to be in the Ontario Science Centre a very popular bicycle
generator exhibit, in which the visitor's work boiled about an ounce of
water. The 40 sec to 1 minute of hard work by a strong man (?1/3
horsepower?) gave a real scale to what is happening in a 1.5 kilowatt
electric kettle or coffee maker.
Good luck,
Peter Anderson
