Internet Content Specialist

Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, M-F from 8:45AM to 5:15PM

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in relevant field. Two years 
experience working with multimedia production software on Windows systems. 
Experience in museum digitization processes is desired. Experience with the 
World Wide Web and online publishing required. Knowledge of variety of 
emerging online applications. Familiarity with science education desired. 
Strong collaborative skills essential for working as part of a 
production-oriented creative team. Excellent writing and research skills 
essential.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: The Internet Content Specialist 
supports the ongoing educational content development processes related to 
online content development projects for The Franklin Institute Online's 
Resources for Science Learning collection. Support the needs of multiple 
online educational content projects. Serve as a liaison with the curatorial 
staff, developing effective processes for achieving departmental production 
goals and objectives. Make recommendations to Director of Educational 
Technology Programs for the appropriate technology upgrades related to the 
digitization industry. Maintain an up-to-date awareness of the trends and 
resources in the museum digitization field. Work with the webteam to 
involve practicing teachers in the online collections interpretation 
process. Work with the educational programs team to capture and provide 
online access to their programs.
